Personal Best @ Work gives pupils a great head start towards maximising their future performance at work. It gives them access to a whole host of key skills and techniques to help them achieve their potential in the workplace. During the course, pupils will work through 3 units full of useful information and practical techniques that you can apply at work.

In this course pupils study 3 units.
Here’s a taste of what the course covers:
Unit one: Improving your learning and performance
This unit is all about planning and reviewing learning and improving performance. Learners will set targets and create plans to help them meet these targets; they will also learn how to review progress and identify their achievements.
Unit two: Improving your problem solving
This unit helps learners to apply their problem solving skills effectively. They will learn how to identify problems and possible solutions. Learners will also find out how to plan and try out solutions as well as how to check that a problem has been solved.
Unit three: Working with others
This unit is all about how to apply skills in team working and learners will identify the benefits of working together. Learners will find out how to work cooperatively towards achieving identified objectives as well as how to share information on progress and agree future improvements.
How long does it take?
Personal Best @ Work is designed as a 96-hour course. Pupils can study flexibly at their own pace depending upon the time made available for their studies.
Course delivery and assessment
The course is offered online with vision2learn – an innovative web-based learning system, which you and your pupils can access via PC from school or home. The online course contains all of the learning content needed to meet the assessment requirements of the course, as well as activities to enable your pupils to practise their skills and test their learning receiving additional help and support from you as you are always just a click away.
About the qualification
Studying Personal Best @ Work leads to the accredited qualification
NCFE Level 2 Key Skills, which helps your pupils to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of this subject.
In order to successfully achieve the qualification your pupils will need to complete a series of assessments as they work through each unit of the course. You will assess these and they will build up to form each pupil’s portfolio of evidence of learning. A certificate will be awarded on satisfactory submission of evidence of learning for all 3 units.
