Course details
In this course, learners will work through 3 study Sessions. Here’s a taste of what they will cover:
Session 1 – How to work with others
- In this first session, learners will find out how to plan their work with others and identify shared objectives.
Session 2 – Creating a plan
- Once the learner has planned their work, this session will help them to work co-operatively towards the objectives they have identified. They will learn how to organise and carry out tasks, as well as how to check their progress.
Session 3 – Assessing and evaluating performance
- In the final session, learners will discover how to review their contributions and then agree ways to improve their work with others in the future.
How long does it take?
Working with Others is designed as a 30-hour course. Learners can flexibly study at their own pace, depending upon the time made available for their studies.
Course delivery and assessment
The course is offered online with vision2learn – an innovative web-based learning system, which you and your pupils can access via PC from school or home. The online course contains all of the learning content needed to meet the assessment requirements of the course, as well as activities to enable your pupils to practise their skills and test their learning receiving additional help and support from you as you are always just a click away.
About the qualification
Studying Working with Others leads to the accredited NCFE Level 2 Key Skills Certificate in Working with Others, which helps your pupils to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of this subject.
In order to successfully achieve a qualification your pupils will need to complete a series of assessments as they work through each Session of the course, which they’ll send to you through the v-mail system on vision2learn. You will assess these and they will build up to form each pupil’s portfolio of evidence of learning. A certificate will be awarded on satisfactory submission of evidence of learning for the three Sessions of the course.
The computer kit needed
- An Internet enabled PC running MS Windows and Internet Explorer 5 (or later), or Netscape 6 (or later), with JavaScript and cookies enabled
- Email software and an active email account
- Microsoft Word or similar word processing package
- Download Flash player
- Download Adobe Acrobat.
