What is vision2learn for schools?

Vision2learn for schools is an e-learning service designed to help low attaining 14-19 year olds achieve more. Learners can take vocational qualifications and study GCSE subjects online too.

Our distinctive approach has all of the benefits of e-learning in a curriculum model designed to help hard-to-reach learners gain skills and qualifications for life and work.

With vocational qualifications at Levels 1 to 3, GCSEs, English, maths and Learning to Learn resources, vision2learn for schools is a flexible, creative and cost-effective way to support alternative pathways to KS4/5 achievement. Learners gain skills and qualifications to help them move on – boosting GCSE and Level 2 results at your school too.

We work with a range of secondary schools, PRUs, academy networks and school improvement partners. Our approach has been developed in collaboration with school leaders and expert teaching professionals.

How long has vision2learn for schools been running for?

Vision2learn for schools is an e-learning service for secondary schools developed by e-learning company Creating Careers Ltd. Creating Careers started in 1999 and developed vision2learn – the UK’s first complete, integrated and accredited e-learning service designed for the further education sector in England.

In 2006 Creating Careers branched into the secondary schools post-14 market with vision2learn for schools. Thousands of pupils in hundreds of schools have since regained their confidence and found success with our life-changing online learning service.

Why did vision2learn for schools start?

In 2006, Creating Careers, the team behind vision2learn for schools, responded to a market need from secondary schools and learning centres for a practical, modern curriculum model that would help to engage vulnerable 14-19 year olds.

We believed that our proven brand of e-learning could help schools to achieve higher levels of engagement and help all learners – including the disengaged, the pre-NEET and the borderline Level 1 learners - to succeed and thrive.

What does vision2learn for schools cost?

Schools purchase a 12 or 24 month licence to access vision2learn for schools. Each licence includes unlimited access for all learners on all vision2learn for schools courses. It also includes full training and support, from initial setup and learner registration, to training and planning meetings.

Are vision2learn for schools online GCSEs the same as traditional GCSEs?

Yes, our GCSE courses are just like traditional GCSEs, except they are studied online. Each vision2learn for schools GCSE programme contains comprehensive, interactive and engaging online lessons and study materials, written to the GCSE qualification specification for each subject. As with traditional GCSEs, schools must organise the assessment and/or examination separately with an awarding body.
