Collaborative partnerships can have an impact on achievement
Vision2learn for schools works in partnership with local education authorities to find new ways for schools and pupil referral units to help learners to achieve national qualifications, which helps to raise local achievement levels, reduce exclusions and offer alternative provision through cost-effective online learning solutions.
We’ve identified two areas we can help:
- Vision2learn for schools – Over
50 national qualifications, QCF units and resources online in subjects such
as computer skills, job skills, sport and
fitness, life skills and English and maths skills
from Levels 1 to 2 to help 14-19 year olds achieve a work-related qualification.
- Edexcel WorkSkills – Edexcel has developed a flexible suite of credit-based WorkSkills units to help learners build on their skills and recognise them with a formal QCF qualification. WorkSkills e-learning units are available on vision2learn for schools to help learners achieve a BTEC Award, Certificate or Diploma in WorkSkills.

Quick quote
An LSN article in their Autumn 08 e-Briefing newsletter suggests that "approximately 135,000 pupils a year, mostly of secondary age, spend time in alternative provision. About one-third of placements are in pupil referral units, costing approximately £15k per learner per year for a full-time place; the rest are in a range of other provision, including further education and the private and voluntary sectors."
A one-year licence to vision2learn for schools for all learners in a PRU with access to all courses is just £5,500 plus VAT. Simply great value!
